ImageBooks may be the star of any library, but it was the new paint that grabbed all the attention last week at the Oconee County Library in Watkinsville.

The newly-remodeled children’s section of the Oconee County Library was officially opened last Thursday evening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception. The children in attendance all commented on the bright new colors on the freshly-painted walls.

“The colors are a lot more eye-catching and attractive,” said a very articulate 12-year old, Lena Wayson.

The remodeling also got rave reviews from library board members who attended the ribbon-cutting.

“This new layout is outstanding,” said Art Zimmerman, a library board member. “The visibility is better, and the whole area feels more open.”
